A concept rear patio landscape design for a client in San Juan Capistrano, California.
At Myles Nelson McKenzie Design, we were asked to redesign the rear yard patio. The existing landscape design of the residences has a sloped property with multilevel patios.
So as illustrated, we redesign the rear yard patios. We incorporated a few new elements and features. Such as a new free-standing arbor for the upper patio. A new outdoor kitchen and prep island. Along with a new hand-built Italian pizza oven.
The hard surface of the patios is a combination of red brick trim and salt-finish concrete along with random size Flagstone. At the central featured patio in front of the great room of the residence, we added grass to grow in between the joints are the random size Flagstone. So this would become an elegant country-style patio area.
