Additionally, for the lake cabin design, we kept it simple and rustic with native materials from the lake area for the exterior elevations.
Wood board and batten exterior wall covering with a wood shake for the front porch gable was the original concept. But in the end, horizontal 6″ siding was selected as shown in the elevation plans below..
Local stone for the foundation wall and fireplace chimney exterior. Of course, using the wood shakes again for the roofing material.
