Myles Nelson McKenzie Design in Bluffton, South Carolina, has designed a new Lowcountry home design for clients on Saint Helena Island. The custom home was created to meet the client’s specific needs, and every design detail was carefully crafted to meet their family’s requirements.
Our clients on Saint Helena Island have a beautiful coastal property that backs up against a Lowcountry marshland. This quaint and quiet island has a variety of Lowcountry homes that represent the Lowcountry lifestyle. The residential community of Dataw is also located in this coastal region of South Carolina.

Since the property is located in a designated flood zone, the new custom home was designed with the beautiful coastal marshland views and the flood zone in mind. The type of building materials and the construction method were all considered and developed to accommodate these conditions. The property has beautiful ancient oak trees, southern pine, and palmetto trees that frame the beautiful property.
