Concept Design
We have created an outstanding home design that enhances the stunning valley views of the desert hillside. The home design combines contemporary and modern features that give the property a bold home presentation, resulting in a spectacular look.
In the design phase, the hillside property and the existing natural desert vegetation were considered. To keep the property undisturbed, a plan was developed to relocate the larger vegetation, such as the Saguaro cactus.
Also, the subterranean garage level was designed to minimize the building’s footprint. We slightly elevated the main floor level for the home’s main floor. This design choice maximizes the efficient use of undisturbed property space and enhances the property’s overall aesthetic.
Additionally, by elevating the main living area, the design capitalizes on natural light and ventilation, creating a brighter and more comfortable living environment. The combination of these elements results in an eco-friendly and visually appealing home.
Desert Home Design Rear Elevation
Due to the stream, summer heat, and direct sun, we have animated floor-ceiling shutters that can open as needed or automatically close as light penetrates the area. These advanced shutters are designed to provide optimal comfort and energy efficiency, ensuring the indoor temperature remains stable throughout the day.
They operate on a sophisticated sensor system that detects changes in sunlight and adjusts accordingly, offering a seamless blend of technology and convenience. Additionally, the shutters are made from high-quality materials that enhance their durability and aesthetic appeal, complementing any interior design.
Floor Plans
Garage Level Floor Plan
This modern Sonoran desert home design features a large garage for the owner’s automobiles on the subterranean level. A cool-temperature storage space is also designed on the below-grade floor level.
Main Floor Plan
The building’s main floor is 3803 square feet and has a lot to offer. As you step into the above-grade main floor, you’ll find a great room that can be used for various purposes. This room has ample space to entertain guests, host family gatherings, or relax and unwind with a book or a movie.
Moving on, you’ll find a chef-style kitchen equipped with all the modern amenities and appliances you need to cook up a storm. As you prepare your meals, you’ll be able to enjoy breathtaking valley views from the large windows that adorn this space.
The rest of the first-floor level is equally impressive. There are three bedrooms, each with its unique character and charm. These rooms are spacious and well-lit and offer plenty of privacy and comfort. Additionally, three and a half bathrooms are elegantly designed and equipped with high-end fixtures and fittings.
For your convenience, there’s a large linen and storage closet to keep your bedding, towels, and other essentials. A spacious laundry room is also equipped with a washer, dryer, and other laundry essentials. Whether washing clothes, storing linens or simply looking for extra storage space, this room covers you.
The resident’s large glazing door systems at both ends of the house bring natural light and ventilation into the residence. Roof skylights have been strategically placed for additional natural light for the home’s interior spaces. This design element is also featured on the exterior front patio deck.
