Myles Nelson McKenzie Design created a classic southern home design. The new residence was developed for three acres with classic Lowcountry scenery. The project site is set in the northern rural area of Charleston, South Carolina.
The southern home design complements the rural setting. It creates a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing environment within the grand live oaks.
Floor Plans
The first floor of the Southern home design has a traditional grand front porch. From there, you enter a two-story vaulted entry area. The study is to the right of the entry area, and beyond that are the great room and kitchen. Near the kitchen are the back kitchen and laundry room. Next to that is the owner’s entrance and the hall to the garage.
On the left side of the floor plan, you’ll find the master bedroom suite. Complete with a full master bath and closet. At the rear of the home is a large wraparound screened-in porch with an outdoor fireplace within the screened-in porch. The size of the first floor is 2060 ft.², and the garage is 575 ft.².

On the left of the second-floor staircase is a large family room that leads to a spacious open deck. Two additional bedrooms with full bathrooms and closets are also on this floor.
The size of the second-floor level is 1263 ft.². For a combined residence square footage total of 3323 ft.²
